Mama mama why do you cry?

Updated: Dec 16, 2024

My mother always said

Strong people don't cry

But i couldn't understand why her weeps

Filled the room

Like a gust of cold air

Tearing through the sky

I wanted to run to her

Hold her

But my body was frozen in place

Like a mannequin on display

Mama mama why do you cry?

Thats when it hit me

A hot sensation

Like a cigarette being dug into my skin

I wanted to scream

I wanted to cry

But my mouth was glued shut

The memories

Of my final moments

A knife

A knife

It happened so fast

My classmate

The one I sat with

laughed with

Took my life in a blinding Hush

Ended my life with no regret in his eyes

His masked dropped

Putting his true face on display

The face of my killer

The one who took me from my mother

the grim reaper in disguise

Mama mama why do cry?

No mercy seen as he pulled out that knife

He jabbed and jabbed till the deed was done

watching as my lifeless body fell to the ground

I remembered it all

With a cloudy fuzz over my eyes

I turned my back to the face of death

with no choice but to run

I wasn't ready

This couldn't be the end

My mother needed me

I ran and ran

Hoping for an escape

But it was my time

Mama mama do you cry?

I tum to you

begging for me to be the last

The last son that loses his mother

For no more victims

Please make me the last

School violence must end

So no more children

are forced to face the grim reaper

without seeing the end of their time

we take the front line

you and me

against school violence

Holding hands

we'll teach others about our plan

Applying the laws

as we take the stand

We'll spread awareness

to everyone who may be led astray

We'll stand as one

Shielding the generations after us from desperate prays

mothers from deathless days

but everyone must try

To teach the little boys about gentle play

To teach little boys how to control their

Fears

And angry tears

We must do this together

All as one

and this is how violence is eradicated!
